Reverse description The large bold numeral 2 dominates the central field, flanked by ornamental flourishes on either side. The word CEYLON arches above in a curved legend, and CENTS curves below the numeral, with the date 1944 at the bottom of the field. Sinhalese and Tamil denomination inscriptions appear in a circular arrangement around the central design, separated by decorative elements. A beaded inner border follows the scalloped outline of the coin.
