| Aanvullende informatie |
Haiti's 1850 coinage was struck under President Faustin Soulouque, who had declared himself Emperor Faustin I just one year earlier in a move that stunned even his own supporters. The copper issues of this period were produced in quantity but circulated hard in a cash-starved rural economy, making problem-free survivors genuinely difficult to locate. KM#36 is attributed to a French contract mint, though precise attribution between facilities has been a persistent source of disagreement among specialists.
