Reverse description A central fasces — a bound bundle of rods with a projecting axehead — stands upright on a small plinth, flanked on either side by the denomination numeral 2 to the left and the abbreviation C to the right. A Phrygian liberty cap surmounts the fasces. The republican motto LIBERTE EGALITE arcs around the upper periphery, while the Haitian republican year AN 43 is inscribed along the lower periphery. A beaded border frames the entire design.
