| Obverse description | Truncated bust of King Vittorio Emanuele III facing left, rendered in a naturalistic portrait style by engraver Luigi Giorgi. The king is depicted in military dress with a high collar visible at the truncation. The circular legend reads VITTORIO EMANUELE III RE D'ITALIA, arranged along the upper and right periphery of the coin.
