| Reverse description | The reverse displays a vivid full-color scene commemorating the 40th anniversary of the Space Shuttle Discovery, occupying the central field of the coin. The shuttle is depicted in orbit above Earth, rendered in detailed polychrome color against a star-filled cosmic background with the Moon visible in the distance. The NASA meatball logo appears as a colored roundel to the upper left of the shuttle. The legend 40TH ANNIVERSARY - SPACE SHUTTLE DISCOVERY curves along the upper rim in raised Latin lettering within the uncolored border. |

| Additional information |
Ghana has issued commemorative titanium pieces under its "Space" series since the early 2020s, contracting production through European mints — the coins have no connection to Ghanaian monetary policy and circulate exclusively in the collector market. Discovery flew 39 missions between 1984 and 2011, the most of any orbiter, and was the shuttle chosen to return Americans to flight after both the Challenger and Columbia disasters.
