| Obverse description | The colored inner disc features a right-facing diademed effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, rendered in a rose-toned colorized titanium field. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs across the upper portion of the outer ring, flanked on the right by the denomination 2 CEDIS. The inscription REPUBLIC OF GHANA curves along the lower arc of the outer ring, with the Ghanaian coat of arms depicted at the base. A decorative beaded border separates the inner disc from the outer milled ring. |

| Additional information |
Ghana's commemorative program has increasingly targeted international scientific figures with no particular connection to the country — Tesla is one of several such issues struck for the collector market rather than circulation. The titanium ring construction, while visually striking, is worth noting for a practical reason: titanium's extreme hardness relative to conventional coinage metals means dies wear faster and strike pressure requirements are substantially higher, which can produce inconsistencies across a run.
