| Obverse description | Round bronze cash coin featuring a central square perforation surrounded by a raised square rim. The four-character reign title inscription 宣和通寶 (Xuanhe Tongbao) is disposed in clerical script (lishu) reading top-bottom-right-left around the central aperture, with 宣 at top, 和 at bottom, 通 at right, and 寶 at left. The characters are boldly cast in high relief with the distinctive angular, structured strokes characteristic of lishu calligraphy. A broad, flat inner field separates the legend from the raised outer rim, which is well-defined and slightly bevelled. |
