| Reverse description | Plain reverse field with a central square hole (穿) framed by a raised inner rim. A single crescent-shaped mark is cast in relief above the square hole in the upper field, serving as a mint or furnace identifier. The remainder of the reverse is featureless apart from the broad, slightly convex field and a raised outer rim. The casting surface shows the characteristic granular texture of Northern Song iron cash production. |
