| Obverse description | Central square hole surrounded by a raised inner rim and an outer border. Four Chinese ideograms in Seal script (篆書) are arranged in the four cardinal positions around the central aperture, reading clockwise from the top: 紹 (Shào), 興 (Xīng), 元 (Yuán), 寶 (Bǎo), forming the reign-era legend 紹興元寶. The characters are rendered in an elegant, curvilinear Seal script style typical of Southern Song dynasty cash coinage, with well-defined strokes in high relief against the flat field. |

| Reverse description | Plain reverse field featuring a central square hole with a raised inner rim and outer border. A single upward-facing crescent mark is cast in the field above the square aperture, and a single dot is positioned in the lower field below the aperture. Both marks served as mint or batch identification symbols. The overall surface shows the characteristic matte texture of cast bronze coinage of the Southern Song period. |
