| Obverse description | Cast iron coin of round form with a central square hole. Four Chinese characters in Regular script (kaishu) are arranged in cruciform fashion reading top-to-bottom then right-to-left, forming the reign title legend 紹熙通寶 (Shaoxi Tongbao). The characters occupy the four cardinal fields surrounding the central perforation, with strokes rendered in a clean, formal style typical of Southern Song dynasty cash coinage. The flat, undecorated rim frames the inscription without additional ornament. |

| Reverse description | Plain reverse field with a central square hole flanked by two Chinese characters in Regular script: 漢 (Han) to the right and 三 (San, meaning 'three') to the left. These characters identify the issuing mint as the Hanyang Mint (漢陽監) and denote the third year of the Shaoxi reign era (1192). The rim is flat and unadorned, consistent with standard Southern Song cast coinage practice. |
