| Beschrijving voorzijde | Cast iron cash coin of standard Northern Song form, featuring a central square perforation surrounded by a raised inner rim. The four-character reign legend 紹聖元寶 (Shaosheng Yuanbao) is disposed in the canonical top-bottom-right-left reading order around the central aperture, rendered in an angular and highly stylized Seal script (zhuanshu). The characters are boldly cast in relief against a flat, unadorned field. A raised outer rim encircles the entire design, consistent with Song dynasty casting conventions. |
