Reverse description Plain reverse field with a central square perforation flanked by an inner raised square rim and an outer raised border. A single Chinese character in regular script appears below the central hole, reading 元 (Yuan), denoting the first year of the Jiaxi reign era. The remaining three quadrants of the reverse are blank, conforming to standard Southern Song cash coinage practice. The surface exhibits heavy green and brown patination throughout.
