Reverse description The reverse presents a plain field divided by the central square perforation, with two Chinese ideograms 二錢 (Er Qian) positioned to the right of the square hole in the right-hand field. The characters, read top to bottom, denote the denomination and weight designation of two cash. The left field of the reverse remains blank. A raised outer rim and inner rim framing the square hole are present, consistent with Ming dynasty casting conventions. The surface shows typical casting texture with patina characteristic of bronze cash coins of this period.
