| Obverse description | Central field occupied by four Chinese ideograms arranged vertically, reading top to bottom and right to left, flanking a floral rosette at centre. Manchu script characters appear to either side of the central inscription, while additional Chinese ideograms form a circular legend around the periphery of the field. The overall layout follows the traditional arrangement of Qing dynasty provincial coinage, combining reign title, mint name, and denomination. |
