Obverse description Cast bronze cash coin featuring four Chinese characters in regular script (kaishu) arranged symmetrically around a central square perforation, reading top-to-bottom and right-to-left: 大中通寶 (Da Zhong Tong Bao). The characters are bold and deeply cast in relief within a plain, raised rim, with no inner or outer rims other than the coin's edge and the square hole's border. The field is plain and unadorned, consistent with the orthodox cash coin format of the late Yuan–early Ming transitional period.
