| Reverse description | Central square perforation with a plain raised inner rim and smooth surrounding fields. A single Chinese character in regular script (kaishu), 濟 (Ji), is cast in relief above the central square hole, identifying the Jinan mint in Shandong province. The remaining three fields are blank. The surface is covered with a heavy green and brown patina typical of excavated bronze cash coinage of this period. |
