| Reverse description | The denomination and mint designation are inscribed in three lines of bold Roman capital letters within a cartouche framed by a laurel and floral garland. The date appears below the inscription within the same decorative surround. Small foliate ornaments and scrollwork embellish the upper portion of the cartouche, lending an elegant baroque character to the composition typical of Papal States subsidiary coinage of the period. |
