| Beschrijving voorzijde | A stylised linear vignette of the Morlaix valley countryside extends across the centre of the note, rendered in an informal sketch style with rolling hills, trees, and rural buildings; orange-accented figures exchange a voucher beside a signpost inscribed 'BZK', while a cyclist in orange rides toward the left. The 'BUZUK' logotype in green with a decorative bird motif crowns the upper centre, flanked by the numeral '2' in the upper right, and a green colour band with additional numerals occupies the left margin. |

The Buzuk is a complementary local currency launched in 2016 by an association in the Pays de Morlaix, Brittany — part of a broader wave of French monnaies locales that gained momentum after the 2014 ESS (Économie Sociale et Solidaire) law gave formal legal footing to such schemes. Like other French complementary currencies of this generation — the Eusko in the Basque Country, the Gonette in Lyon — the Buzuk circulates only within a defined network of participating local businesses and cannot be exchanged for euros by individuals, only spent.
The name derives from "buzuk," Breton for "dirty" or "filthy" — adopted with deliberate self-deprecating humor by the founders.
