Surrounding the central boss, the outer annular field is decorated with elegant arabesque foliate scrollwork in low relief. The Arabic legend 'الجمهورية العربية اليمنية' (Yemen Arab Republic) arcs across the upper periphery. The coin is struck with a milled border of fine beading running along the entire rim. |
