| Reverse description | Rectangular hammered flan with a continuous beaded border. The reverse bears a bold, cursive gyosho-style inscription of the mint official's name and personal cipher stamp in high relief against a granular field. The dominant feature is a large, freely executed grass-script character surmounting an oval kakihan (personal monogram seal) of the gold-mint assayer Mitsutsugu, whose authenticating signature guaranteed the coin's fineness and official provenance. |
