Obverse description The Bolivian national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting an oval cartouche bearing a llama, Mount Potosí, and a rising sun, surmounted by a condor with outstretched wings. The shield is flanked by crossed Bolivian flags and rifles with bayonets, and framed by laurel and olive branches below. A beaded inner border runs along the coin's periphery, following the hendecagonal outline. The circular legend REPUBLICA DE BOLIVIA arcs along the upper periphery in raised Latin lettering. Three five-pointed stars appear in the lower field between the coat of arms and the beaded border.
