Reverse description A bare-headed, draped bust of Simón Bolívar faces left in high relief, with finely detailed flowing hair swept back from the forehead. The curved legend BOLÍVAR is inscribed to the left of the bust and LIBERTADOR to the right, both following the inner beaded border. The engraver's signature BARRE appears in small capitals at the base of the bust, flanked by the mint privy marks of the issuing mints. The entire design is enclosed within a raised beaded border.
