| 背面描述 | Central field displays the large denomination numeral 10 above the word FRANCS, with OU DEUX BELGAS inscribed below, all set within an open wreath of laurel and wheat branches tied at the base with ribbons. The legend ROYAUME DE BELGIQUE arcs across the upper portion of the field in three lines. The engraver's name BONNETAIN is inscribed in small lettering along the lower exergue beneath the wreath. The design is enclosed by a fine toothed border. |

Belgium's centennial fell in 1930, a hundred years after the revolution that broke the country away from the Dutch-ruled United Kingdom of the Netherlands. The commemorative issue was struck in both French and Flemish text variants — a politically fraught decision in a country where linguistic parity was still a live and contentious dispute. Nickel had replaced silver in Belgian subsidiary coinage after the First World War stripped the country's monetary reserves, so this commemorative inherited that cheaper metal almost by necessity.
The French-text version, KM#99, shares its reverse die architecture with the Dutch-text KM#100, minted concurrently.
