| 背面描述 | The reverse presents a plain typographic design centered on the denomination and date within an uncluttered field, as customary for small-value bronze pattern coinage. The country name ROMANIA appears at the top of the coin along the upper arc. The date 1881 is positioned centrally, flanked or accompanied by the Bucharest mint mark B. The denomination 2 BANI is inscribed in the lower portion of the field. The overall layout is clean and austere, consistent with the utilitarian character of a low-denomination proof pattern struck for official presentation purposes. |

Romania's formal declaration as a kingdom in March 1881 triggered an immediate need to reissue coinage reflecting Carol I's new royal title. The pattern series from that year, including this 2 Bani piece, was produced to test designs before committing to full production runs — most were struck in very small numbers and distributed among officials and court favorites rather than tested in commerce.
KM# Pn13 sees only occasional auction appearances.
