Obverse description Conjoined busts of King Rama V (Chulalongkorn) at left and King Rama IX (Bhumibol Adulyadej) at right, both in military uniform, facing slightly toward one another in a three-quarter view. Rama V is depicted with his characteristic moustache and ornate royal collar decoration, while Rama IX is shown wearing his signature eyeglasses. A Thai script legend along the lower rim reads 'Ratchakan thi 5' at left and 'Ratchakan thi 9' at right, identifying each monarch by reign number.
