| Obverse description | Bust of Mohammad Ali Shah Qajar facing left, depicted in three-quarter military dress with elaborate epaulettes and a bejeweled necklace, wearing the traditional Qajar karakul hat surmounted by an aigrette plume. The engraver's initials 'A.M.' appear in small characters at the lower right of the field. The Arabic-script date ۱۳۲۶ (AH 1326) is inscribed to the left of the portrait. The coin is bordered by a fine beaded inner circle and a reeded outer rim, reflecting the refined medallic engraving style of Alphonse Michaux. |
