Obverse description Hammered silver flan bearing Devanagari and Persian-style legends arranged in multiple curved lines across the field, consistent with the Mughal-derived coinage tradition of the Baroda princely state. A scimitar device is incorporated among the inscriptions, serving as a dynastic symbol of the ruling Gaekwad house. The legends are rendered in a flowing, somewhat archaic script typical of mid-19th century Indian princely coinage. The coin exhibits the characteristic irregular roundness of hand-struck issues from this period.
