| Obverse description | Crowned effigy of King George V facing left, with a draped and decorated bust, contained within a beaded inner circle. The Latin legend GEORGE V KING EMPEROR arcs along the upper periphery within the circle, while the date is placed in the field outside the circle at the lower portion of the coin. The portrait is executed in high relief in the style characteristic of MacKennal's royal effigies for British Indian coinage. |
