| Reverse description | Three horizontal registers of bold nasta'liq Arabic script fill the entire reverse field, separated by ruled lines and embellished with floral and foliate ornaments in the interstices. The upper register bears the royal title and name of Karim Khan Zand, the central register records the mint epithet and name 'Karim Khan Zand', and the lower register contains the mint name 'Yazd' together with the regnal year. The composition is characteristic of Zand-dynasty hammered silver coinage, with the legends occupying virtually the full diameter of the flan. |
