Obverse description Unadorned bare head of Victor Emmanuel I facing right, with naturalistically rendered flowing hair. The legend encircles the effigy along the rim, reading VICTORIO EMAN. The date appears in the lower exergual area below the bust truncation. The portrait is executed in a neoclassical style typical of early nineteenth-century Piedmontese coinage.
