背面描述 A bold representation of the Discobolus — the classical figure of an ancient Greek discus thrower — dominates the centre of the field in high relief, depicted mid-throw with muscular form fully extended. To the left, a detailed engraving of the Antwerp Olympic Stadium (Stade) with its flagpole and architectural facade is rendered in the lower portion of the field. The legend 'ANTWERPEN 1920' arcs along the upper periphery within a decorative Greek-key meander border, while '100 years' appears to the right of the central figure. The inscription 'VII OLYMPIADE' is prominently displayed along the lower exergual area, commemorating the centenary of the 1920 Summer Olympic Games held in Antwerp.

附加信息

Belgium's hosting of the 1920 Antwerp Games was a deliberate political act as much as a sporting one — the IOC awarded the Olympics to a country still physically scarred by German occupation, and the Games opened just two years after Armistice. Germany, Austria, Hungary, Bulgaria, and the Ottoman Empire were excluded from competition entirely. It was also at Antwerp that the Olympic oath was first administered and the five-ring flag flown for the first time at an opening ceremony.
