| 背面描述 | Central nordic gold core depicts the UNESCO headquarters building rendered in classical temple style with the inscription UNESCO on its facade. The copper middle ring features an abstract geometric composition of overlapping rectangular forms in varying tones, alongside a silhouetted human figure and an outline map of Luxembourg in the left field, evoking the themes of the Family of Man photographic exhibition. The silver outer ring carries the arc legend THE FAMILY OF MAN 2003-2018 along the upper periphery, with MÉMOIRE DU MONDE and UNESCO inscribed vertically on the right, and the denomination 2,50 EURO along the lower field. |

Luxembourg's "Family of Man" series commemorates the permanent photography exhibition housed at the Castle of Clervaux — a UNESCO-recognized collection originally assembled by Edward Steichen for the Museum of Modern Art in 1955. The exhibition toured 38 countries before finding its permanent home in Luxembourg, Steichen's birth country.
The trimetallic construction places this firmly in collector circulation rather than everyday use — a practical reality that makes genuine wear essentially nonexistent on surviving examples.
