| Obverse description | The heraldic coat of arms of the Central Bank of Malta occupies the central field, flanked by two armoured knights as supporters, each bearing a sword. The shield displays the Maltese Cross and vertical stripes, surmounted by a crested helm with mantling and a mural crown. A ribbon beneath the shield bears the motto legend FIDUCIA FORTIS with the founding year 1968 incorporated into the design. The legend CENTRAL BANK OF MALTA arcs along the upper periphery within a beaded border, and the year of issue 2022 appears in the lower field. |
