Obverse description This note consists of the left half of the original 5 Drachmai note (P-54), bisected vertically and issued as a 2.5 Drachmai emergency currency in 1922. The retained half presents a circular intaglio vignette of a male portrait, likely a statesman, set within an elaborate guilloche border, with the numeral '5' visible at upper left and the partial bank title 'ΕΘΝΙΚΗ ΤΡΑΠΕΖ...' across the top. A red serial number and two manuscript signatures appear in the lower portion, with the imprint 'AMERICAN BANK NOTE' at the bottom right.
