The BEAC 2000 Francs series ran across seven dated issues with minimal design change — the real variation lies in the signature combinations. Jean-Félix Mamalepot held the governorship continuously from the early 1990s through this entire run, an unusually long tenure reflecting the political stability agreements underpinning the CFA franc zone. The shift to Aleka-Rybert as the second signatory in the 2000 dated issue marks the only break from the Ognagna pairing that dominated the mid-series years.
The "P" suffix in the Pick reference denotes a cameroon-letter prefix variant, distinguishing circulation territory within the six-member BEAC zone.
