| 备注 |
The Sächsische Staatsbank was one of several German state banks authorized to issue emergency currency during the hyperinflationary collapse of 1923, when the Reichsbank alone could not print fast enough to keep pace with collapsing purchasing power. By the time 2,000,000 Mark notes were entering circulation in mid-1923, that denomination was already struggling to cover a streetcar fare within weeks of issue. The velocity of devaluation meant many notes were rubber-stamped with revised values before they even cleared distribution.
