| Obverse description | Dark brown intaglio print on cream paper with a central text panel framed by intricate guilloche borders. Two identical portrait vignettes at left and right each show a young man in a Renaissance-style beret, derived from a period painting, set within stepped rectangular frames with eagle medallions at the lower corners and 'RBD' roundels at the upper corners. The central panel carries the denomination in Gothic blackletter script, the issuing authority inscription, place and date of issue, and a block of facsimile signatures of the Reichsbankdirektorium below a ribbon cartouche. A red serial number is printed vertically in the left margin alongside an elaborate guilloche ornament. |
