| Reverse description | The reverse centres on a detailed vignette of the Wiesbaden Staatstheater as it appeared after wartime damage, rendered in a fine letterpress engraving style and captioned 'STAATSTHEATER NACH DEM BRAND'. The architectural vignette is flanked symmetrically by decorative pillar-and-garland ornaments with rosette medallions, and framed below by crossed palm fronds with theatrical comedy and tragedy masks. Denomination cartouches in plain rectangular frames appear at lower left and right, with a validity notice in the upper right field stating the redemption deadline of 31 October 1923. |
