| Obverse description | Printed in purple ink on light paper by letterpress, the note bears the heading "Stadtgemeinde Waldshut / Gutschein" at the top, with the denomination "Zwei Millionen Mark" in large type across the centre. A shield-shaped vignette to the centre-lower area carries a standing armoured figure with sword and shield, encircled by the legend "STADT WALDSHUT GEMEINDE", flanked left by the validity and anti-counterfeiting clause and right by the issue date "Waldshut, den 23. Aug. 1923" and the facsimile signature of the Bürgermeister. The numerical value "M. 2 000 000" appears in both lower corners, with the printer's imprint "Pressverein Waldshut G. m. b. H." at the lower right. |
