The left two-thirds of the reverse are occupied by a detailed pen-and-ink style architectural illustration of the Befreiungshalle (Hall of Liberation) on the Michelsberg near Kelheim, rendered with expressive hatching to suggest foliage and sky. The right panel, separated by a vertical rule, carries the inscriptions STADT KELHEIM and ZWEI MILLIONEN MARK in decorative lettering, the numeral 2000000 on a scroll cartouche, and the artist's signature E.
