A bold diamond-shaped vignette in red and yellow, filled with a fine geometric guilloche underprint, occupies the centre and carries the denomination "Zwei Millionen Mark" in heavy Gothic Fraktur script. The four corners each bear a large numeral "2" in Gothic style set against a dense brown textual underprint of repeating "STADT ALTONA" lettering, and the printer's imprint "CHR ADOLFF ALTONA-OTTENSEN" appears in small type at lower left. |
