| Beschrijving voorzijde | Laureate head of Zeus facing right, rendered in the Hellenistic tradition with finely engraved wavy hair and a full beard. The laurel wreath is depicted with characteristic leaf detail, encircling the deity's head. The portrait is boldly executed in high relief against a plain field, with no legend present on the obverse. The strong facial features and idealised physiognomy are consistent with civic bronze coinage of Phrygia during the late Hellenistic period. |

He leans upon his attribute, the knotted serpent-entwined staff (the rod of Asklepios), with his left arm. The figure is rendered in a relaxed contrapposto stance typical of Hellenistic divine iconography. The Greek civic legend identifying the issuing city and the magistrate responsible for the issue is distributed in the field around the figure. |
