| Obverse description | Laureate head of Zeus facing right, rendered in the Hellenistic tradition with curling hair bound by a laurel wreath, the features boldly modelled in high relief against a plain field. The portrait displays characteristic late Hellenistic die-cutting style, with the neck slightly draped. The flan is irregular in shape, as typical of hammered provincial bronzes of Lycia. |

| Reverse description | Forepart of a horse advancing to the left, the mane rendered with incised lines and the musculature summarily but effectively indicated. To the right of the type appears the civic ethnic APY (for Arycanda) in Greek characters. A countermark in the form of a thunderbolt is applied to the field, attesting to the coin's re-authorisation or re-validation by a later authority. The overall composition is typical of Lycian civic bronze coinage of the Hellenistic period. |
