| Obverse description | Bull standing left in charging posture upon a ground line, head lowered menacingly. Above the bull, a radiate solar symbol depicted as a sunburst or wheel with rays, occupying the upper field. The animal is rendered in high relief with careful attention to musculature, characteristic of the Hellenistic engraving tradition of Mysia. The composition fills the flan with bold, naturalistic authority. No legend is present on this side. |
