The god is shown naked, holding an apple in the raised right hand and a serpent in the left hand. The figure's leonine face with protruding tongue, feathered crown, and stocky proportions are hallmarks of the Ebusan Bes type. The style is crude and schematic, consistent with small-denomination hammered bronze coinage of the western Phoenician tradition. |
