Beschrijving voorzijde	Bee depicted facing, shown from above with wings spread horizontally and abdomen pointing downward, rendered in a naturalistic style characteristic of Ephesian coinage. The insect's thorax, head, and segmented body are clearly articulated in relief. Flanking the bee in the field are the letters E and Φ, abbreviating the city ethnic ΕΦΕΣΟΣ (Ephesos). The entire design is enclosed within a beaded or dotted border. The bee, a sacred symbol of Artemis and the civic emblem of Ephesos, dominates the flan.

Beschrijving keerzijde	A stag standing to the right, head lowered as if grazing, rendered in a vigorous Hellenistic style with detailed musculature. A palm branch appears in the upper field to the right of the stag, referencing Artemis, the patron deity of Ephesos. The magistrate's name ΙΚΕΣΙΟΣ (Hicesius) is inscribed in Greek letters along the lower exergual line. A ground line supports the figure, and the design is contained within a beaded border.
