Obverse description Laureate, armored and draped bust of Frederick William I facing right, the king depicted in military attire with elaborate drapery over the cuirass and a prominent laurel wreath crowning his head. A large royal crown is positioned at the base of the bust in the lower field, flanked by the mintmaster's initials 'C·G' in the exergue. The circular Latin legend surrounds the effigy, reading 'FRID WILH REX C G', with individual elements separated by decorative stops. The portrait is rendered in a robust baroque style typical of early eighteenth-century German coinage.
