Reverse description A floriated or ornamented cross with fleur-de-lis terminals occupies the central field, enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The mintmaster's initials IE appear above the cross as a mintmark. The Genevan Calvinist motto, referencing the city's Reformation heritage, encircles the design within the outer legend: *I*E*POST*TENEBRAS*LVX, meaning 'After Darkness, Light.'
