| Obverse description | Helmeted head of Athena facing right, depicted in profile within a plain field. The goddess wears a crested Attic helmet with the crest rendered in low relief, her facial features shown with archaic simplicity characteristic of early Hellenistic provincial coinage. Hair is visible beneath the helmet, and the bust is truncated at the neck. The style reflects the artistic traditions of the Greek colonies along the northern Black Sea littoral. |
