| Obverse description | Draped bust of Empress Maria Theresia facing right, her hair elaborately coiffed with loose curls falling to the shoulder. The effigy is rendered in high relief with fine detailing on the lace and ornamental dress. A circular Latin legend surrounds the portrait within a beaded border, reading M THERESIA D G R IMP GE HU BO REG, identifying her as Empress of the Romans and Queen of Hungary and Bohemia. |
